We work closely with our clients through the following stages,
while we design your project:
INITIAL SURVEY
We will visit your property and provide free advice and recommendations, with no obligation or costs involved at this stage.
WRITTEN QUOTATION
If you like our advice and an indication of the cost of our services we will provide a written quotation for a full design package, this is for the benefit of both parties so there should be no surprises of extra costs. The quote will also outline when the costs are needed and the sort of time-scales you need to allow for the design stage of your project.
FULL SURVEY
We will undertake a full survey of your property and discuss your requirements in more detail. For new build projects, a topographical survey will more than likely be needed.
INITIAL PLANS
Draft plans of your project will be produced, of which we will provide you a preliminary copy for you to make changes as you feel required.
SUBMISSION OF PLANNING APPLICATION
Planning permission may not be required; we will assess the requirement of the planning system at our initial survey and if planning is not required, we will provide a backup by the form of a letter from your council’s planning department.
If planning is required, we will deal with submitting all the information and drawings required and liaise with the planners throughout the whole process.
BUILDING REGULATIONS PLANS
We will produce the required drawings, specifications, and calculations (if required) and submit them to the council’s building control department for approval.
COMPLETION AND DRAWING ISSUE
Once all the drawings and required information have been approved, we will issue you with a full pack with several copies for you to keep and send to builders for quotations.
At this stage although all our work is complete, we are still willing to provide advice to you while your project is under construction.
